Breckenridge Cowl

My new "Breckenridge Cowl" has officially been released! Here are a couple more pictures we took yesterday at Center Street Knits:
I must admit, I felt very goofy posing for pictures. We took WAY more than this...most of them I just had this awkward "I can't believe I'm doing this right now" look on my face.

This is another very quick knit- perfect for a last minute gift or an immediate accessory. Now that I have the pattern down it takes me about an hour and a half to knit one up- how ideal for this busy time of the year!

So here's what you'll need:
  • about 80 yards of super bulky weight yarn
  • Size US 15 (10mm) needle
  • Cable Needle
And as always, the pattern. You can purchase it on Etsy or Ravelry. I also started putting the Ravelry links on here to the left of my posts.

Here's some other yarn ideas for this pattern (use up that stash!):

This cowl was made with Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Bulky. Because it is not super bulky, I held together two strands of yarn and made the cowl exactly as directed.

This was two strands of Paton's Pure Organic Cotton yarn. Since it is only a worsted weight, I held together two strands of yarn and added 2 extra stitches to the width. To do so, I added one stitch to each side of the border.

Finally, the original Breckenridge Cowl, knit with 1 skein(yes, one!) of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn:

I can't wait to see new WIPs on Ravelry!
